Dr. Carlos Flores-Mir is a Tenured Professor and the Senior Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Alberta’s Mike Petryk School of Dentistry. He also maintains an extramural orthodontic practice in Edmonton as an associate clinician. A prolific researcher and educator, he has authored over 500 peer-reviewed articles and delivered more than 200 international presentations focused on clinical orthodontics and evidence-based dentistry. Beyond his primary role in Canada, he holds several international visiting professorships and serves as an Associate Editor for prestigious journals. His academic impact is underscored by a high citation index (H-Index of 67). He is the recipient of the 2025 WFO David Turpin Outstanding Educator Lecture Award
