Carlos Alberto Feldens is an Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Lutheran University of Brazil, Canoas, Brazil, since 1992.
Carlos graduated in Dentistry (1984) and obtained the Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry (1987) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He holds a PhD in Epidemiology (2008) from the School of Medicine at the same University.
Carlos has published more than 90 papers in peer-reviewed Journals and has authored three books focused on Early Childhood Caries and Traumatic Dental Injuries, his main fields of research.
Carlos is an Invited Member of the Project “WHO Global Consultation on Public Health Intervention against Early Childhood Caries”, promoted by the World Health Organization. He is also a Member of the Dental Traumatology Editorial Board (section: Epidemiology, Social aspects, Education, Diagnostics) and an Invited Member of the Expert Working Group to define a Core Outcome Set in Dental Traumatology, an International Association of Dental Traumatology Project. Carlos also maintains a private practice limited to Pediatric Dentistry in Porto Alegre, Brazil, since 1985.
